Marko Ganchev - Bulgarian poet, writer
Born February 13, 1932.
Marko Ganchev Marinov is a Bulgarian poet, translator, essayist as well as a famous contemporary Bulgarian satirist.
Graduate in Bulgarian Philology at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
Worked as editor in "People's Culture and "Hornet" newspapers. Editor-in-Chief of "Apropo" Almanac for Humor and Satire and "Literary Forum" newspaper.
Ambassador of Bulgaria to Belarus (1993-1999).
Author of more than 50 books.
In 2002, he was awarded Stara Planina Order, Rank I, for outstanding contribution to the Bulgarian culture.
Presented to "P.R. Slaveykov" National Literature Award (2001) for overall contribution with his children works.
